Frederika had an Egg Hunt Saturday for the kids. First time the community has done this and they were hoping to have a good turn out, IT WAS GREAT!!

Jordan wasn't real sure at first but once it started he found all 12 of his eggs.

Fishing ....... again.

Alright, I am just going to say that those of you that have kids know that you CAN NOT tell them what to wear all the time.

So, with that said, Jordan & Jason took off to go fishing again today and met Kip at the lucky spot.

Yes, he is wearing jeans with shorts over the top. This is why I don't always go with the boys when they leave the house. I can always say that "daddy dressed him."

Oh, yeah, he caught more fish today also. . . . . . . . maybe it was the outfit?

Thank you Kip for putting up with our very impatient fisherman today, next time remember to take your earplugs with you.

Fishing

Jordan and Jason are loving the good weather so that they can go fishing. Jordan LOVES to remind Daddy that the last time they went fishing last year that "I caught a fish, Daddy you just caught sticks". Last weekend we took Jordan down to the river to do some early fishing, knowing he probably wouldn't catch anything.

On one of the last casts of the day, Jordan was using Daddy's rod at this point, Jordan reeled it back in and kept saying...... I caught a fish, I caught a fish ..... indeed, there was a fish on the hook but Jordan didn't realize that it was the bait! So, here is Jordan's first catch of 2009.

Jason had the week off and while Jordan was in school, he went to find some areas that they could actually catch fish. We were afraid that Jordan was getting bored not catching anything. So, Friday night I came home to .............

a sink full of crappies!

Remember, we usually don't catch anything so neither of us really know how to fillet fish, so with instruction printed from the internet, Jason goes about filleting his fish.

When Jordan came home, he came bouncing in the door going to tell Daddy something until he saw daddy at the table and his story suddenly became........"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" As the fish sometimes got away and flopped across the table, Jordan's observation was, "I don't think he wants to be cut daddy".

Well, today Jordan and Daddy went to lucky spot and went fishing.

Did Jordan finally get a fish caught???

YES!!!

He even kissed one on the tail, before they put it back in the water.

We have two very happy fishers today.

Toddlerism

Taking a cue from a friend I thought I would share a cute saying from Jordan tonight.

Jason is getting ready for bed and told Jordan "I'm going to turn in"

Jordan's reaction -- "turn into what?"

The answer to his question was Jason & I almost falling to the floor laughing. Jason then told me, sometimes I forget he is only 4 1/2.

How to know a 4 year old isn't feeling well.

So, how do you know that a 4 year old little boy isn't feeling well??

This is his preferred spot to be ........ all weekend long!

Friday night Jordan showed signs of not feeling well during our supper out. Saturday and Sunday only confirmed the fact that our boy was SICK! Monday Daddy took the day off and they went to see Dr. Matt. It was confirmed that he had strep throat. That explains why he doesn't want to move from the couch.

Jordan has been watching when mommy tries to "relax" in the bath. His fever did go down for a little while after his bath.

I am very happy to say that we are looking at an up swing on the health of our boy today. He has eaten 1/2 a piece of french toast, some string cheese and 2 ice pops today.
